Hello! My name is Deborah (Mercy) Persyn. I go by Mercy. I am an IBCLC as well as an RN with my bachelors of science in nursing. I am also a mother of three children, all of whom I have breastfed for over three years each and worked through common breastfeeding challenges such as tongue ties, two frenectomies, oral motor therapy, return to work while pumping/breastfeeding, weaning toddlers, and tandem breastfeeding. I have my own experiences plus the education and practice over the past seven years with clients. I practiced as a lactation consultant for over four years in the in-patient setting of a hospital. I have also been in private practice since 2021. I have cared for many mothers and babies in the early postpartum period, assisted and educated mothers with their babies while in NICU in the early months of breastfeeding or pumping. I have worked with several families with twins. I have worked with baby’s with bottle refusal. I have also taught prenatal breastfeeding classes and worked one on one with expecting mothers. I have over two thousand hands on hours of mother-baby breastfeeding and pumping support, reaching and assisting hundreds of families. My hope is that my experience and education will allow me the opportunity to serve and care for your family to help you achieve your breastfeeding/pumping/chest-feeding goals.
